‘Tribute To Oscar Peterson’ Show

Craig Milverton is firmly established as one of Britain’s Top Jazz Pianists. This has been recognised by winning the Jazz Piano Category of The British Jazz Awards in 2010.

In his latest project, 'A Tribute To Oscar Peterson' Craig pays homage to probably the greatest of all Jazz Pianists, and his biggest influence, Oscar Peterson. This show highlights all the great recordings of Oscar from his biggest hit 'Tenderly', to his best selling Album 'Night Train' and also focuses on his great compositions including ‘The Canadiana Suite’ celebrating his homeland of Canada.

Craig recorded his tribute to Oscar in 2007 and has received top reviews in all the Jazz Press and featured at some big festivals including Brecon, London and Swanage and has performed at many top venues including Ronnie Scotts, Dean St Pizza Express and the Concorde Club. This concert is a must for all Peterson fans and all those people who love Jazz that swings.

Appearing with Craig are three of the most talented musicians on the jazz scene, Dominic Ashworth on Guitar, winner of the Jazz Guitar Award in the 2006 British Jazz Awards, Al Swainger, on Double Bass and Nick Millward on Drums.

New CD out now - 'Bring Back the Burch'
Featuring tunes written by the late John Burch, and in particular, the music he wrote for the great British tenor player, Dick Morrissey.

The quartet features four of the South West's leading jazz musicians:-
Martin Dale - Saxophones (former member of John Burch's Octet)
Craig Milverton - Piano (Winner Best Pianist in the British Jazz Awards)
Kevin Sanders - Bass
Coach York - Drums

Joined on three tracks by special guest Derek Nash - Saxophones (Member of the Jools Holland Orchestra)

Jazz Piano Legends- Solo Piano Show

Craig pays homage to 16 of the great piano players from James P Johnson through to Bill Evans. In this show, Craig discusses each artist, their style and the developments in piano techniques through each artist. An ideal show for concerts or masterclasses and demonstrates Craig’s thorough grasp of jazz piano through the ages.
